Ignite your music with the power of Pro Tools LE 7.4 Download this book Pro Tools LE 7 Ignite The Visual Guide for New Users. If it goes right with session recording, and lots of plugs, and than it crashes with some synths, it must be some compatibility issue. Then, get ready to harness the power of Pro Tools as you explore software effects, virtual instruments, and mixes that you can automate and edit with some of the best tools in the business. I can't believe this crap, this is the whole reason I went with a mac and 4 gigs of ram! Is going back to 10.5.4 OSX really the solution cuz I can tell you rebooting the computer isnt working worth a damn!I can be wrong, but I think you've posted the root of the problem. Even with my hardware buffer cranked up and only using 1 synth at a time, pro tools still loses my 003.

However, I have a few projects coming up where I'm trying to use some synth sounds from AnalogFactory, Xpand, wutever I have around. At long last, LE is a real, usable version of Pro Tools-not just the bog-standard basics with the juicy bits from HD pulled out.' If Neils comments arent enough to convince you to download the upgrade now, check out the informative videos under the Media tab of the PT LE 7.4 Software Upgrade webpage on Digidesigns site. When I record live audio, it's fine with lots of tracks and a decent amount of plugins. I'm runnin an iMac 2.4ghz with 4 gigs of ram (OSX 10.5.5) and Pro Tools LE 7.4.2. I love pro tools to death, but when shit starts crashin on me, I tend to get angry. Well atleast I'm not the only one with this problem, so I feel a little bit better. Would going back to 10.5.4 make it any better? I have Logic (8.2) as well and so far it seems to work flawlessly.

All my plugins are up to date (waves v6.6 - production tool kit 7.4.2 - Reason 4 - vinyl 1.7.3) and I can't figure out how to get pass this. Pro Tools 7.4 LE now has on/off footswitch support for 003, 003 Rack, 002, 002 Rack and M Box 2 Pro interfaces, and the ability to punch in and out with a footswitch has been added to the M Box 2 Pro. Regardless, the session lags and stops all the time (which wasn't the case with tiger). This is especially useful for recording changes to parameters in a Rewire client application onto a Pro Tools MIDI track. I looked into the whole "plugin compatibility" situation and saw that battery isn't supposed to be Leopard/Pro tools friendly yet, so I removed those tracks and it improved a little bit.

This particular one has Reason 4 rewired to a few tracks and a couple of other tracks with battery 3. I'm trying to work on my older Pro Tools LE sessions (now with PT 7.4.2) but they keep crashing on me (increase buffer size/lost connection with the interface). I'm running a Mac Pro (2X2.66 Dual-Core) and just upgraded to Leopard.

I'm fairly new to the forum, and I've been looking around for some answers on this whole Leopard/Pro Tools LE issue.
